Position: English Learner (EL) Teacher Assistant: Long Term SubstituteLocation:Woodland Elementary SchoolSchedule:2025-2026 School YearSalary: Per Contract To Start:February 23 2026Qualifications:Experience working with English learner (EL) students;Demonstrate the ability to assist in the Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) and English Language Development (ELD) classrooms;Proficient in Spanish or Portuguese : Work under the supervision of elementary school administration Title III/EL Director EL Coordinator EL teachers SEI teachers and building administration;Assist small groups and/or individual ELs within the mainstream SEI classroom with guidance provided by the SEI teacher;Assist small groups in English Language Development (ELD) and intervention with guidance provided by the EL Director EL Coordinator EL teacher SEI teacher and building administration;Communicate and collaborate with EL Coordinator SEI teachers and EL teachers;Provide native language (Spanish/Portuguese) clarification and/or support to ELs in the SEI classroom.
