Required Skills

Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced SAFe Scrum Master to support one or more Agile teams on an Agile Release Train (ART). The Scrum Master acts as a servant leader and coach helping teams apply Scrum Kanban and SAFe principles to deliver value at scale. This role focuses on enabling team success facilitating SAFe events removing impediments and driving continuous improvement across the ART and the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Team-Level Responsibilities
- Facilitate team-level events:
- Iteration (Sprint) Planning
- Daily Stand-ups
- Iteration Reviews
- Iteration Retrospectives
- Coach teams on Scrum Kanban and SAFe principles
- Enable effective flow of work and adherence to WIP limits
- Help teams build high-quality incremental value every iteration
- Remove impediments and escalate risks dependencies and blockers as needed
- Foster a culture of transparency collaboration and continuous improvement
- Track and communicate team metrics (velocity flow metrics predictability)
ART & Program-Level Responsibilities
- Support and participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning
- Assist teams in preparing for PI Planning (backlog readiness capacity planning)
- Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and risks
- Actively participate in:
- Scrum of Scrums
- ART Sync (if applicable)
- Inspect & Adapt (I&A) events
- Partner with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to improve ART execution
- Promote alignment to ART objectives and PI goals
Product & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Support Product Owners with:
- Backlog refinement
- Story definition and acceptance criteria
- Ensuring features are decomposed into ready stories
- Collaborate with Product Management System Architects and stakeholders
- Help ensure alignment between team delivery and business priorities
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Scrum Master in a SAFe environment
- Strong knowledge of SAFe Scrum Agile and Lean principles
- Experience working on Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
- Proven ability to coach teams and leaders in Agile ways of working
- Strong facilitation communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Experience using Agile tools (Jira Azure DevOps Rally etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
