Job Summary

VES is seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams Separation Health Assessments across the country.


Locations Available:

Must be 50 mi from the facility:

Per diem available:

  1. Pensacola - 2 days per week needed

Details:

Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) a Maximus company is a government contractor helping our nations Veterans.

  • Need is on a PRN basis ongoing
  • Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
  • One-Time non-treatment C&P exams separation health assessments
  • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing muscle strength testing.
  • No prescribing no treatment
  • Quick credentialing & onboarding

Willing to accept these specialties:

  • family medicine
  • internal medicine
  • orthopedic surgery
  • anyone with a background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension.

Please Note:

  • DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified- Client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or the portal training before starting
  • Use of Goniometer required
  • Familiar with Musculoskeletal Diabetes and Cardio required
  • Proficient in METs testing evaluating and diagnosing respiratory cardiovascular and neurological conditions.
  • Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
  • Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
  • Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
  • Evaluations to be completed in VESs provider portal
  • Record review is required in most cases


RATE STRUCTURE FOR PRESENTATIONS:

***Hourly Overtime Holiday rates are NOT applicable with VES. All Gen Med providers must follow

The rate structure below.

  • Half-day Rate - $800 flat rate for 4 hour shifts or less (includes times to complete exams submit report including any addendums no OT)
  • Daily Rate - $1600 flat rate for 5 hour shifts or longer (includes times to complete exams submit report including any addendums no OT)
  • Bonus - one time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing first exams
  • Local candidates only travel included in rates
  • Please note: Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (addendums medical opinions and reading diagnostics). This will not be paid outside of the day or full day rate.

Client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or the portal training before starting.


Process once credentialing is kicked off:

VES will email the PROVIDER two forms to complete - *PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PROVIDER HAS 48 HOURS TO COMPLETE OR THEY WILL BE REDIRECTED*

    • the Docusign VES Application- instructions will be sent to the agency to relay to the provider.
    • Electronic Signature Form.
    • AHSA will email your agency requesting DOB SSN Agency Credentialing contacts and COI.
  • After credentialing is confirmed as complete the provider will need to complete their DMA training.


Reach360 is the new system VES is using to distribute provider training materials. Here is the outline of how provider training will work going forward:

  • Provider completes VA required DMA certifications (10 hours)
  • Provider is assigned VES New Provider Orientation Materials (60-90 min) in Reach 360
  • When both VA DMA Certifications and VES Orientation materials are complete provider is activated.
  • Schedulers assign first cases and request a PEP session
  • Based on cases assigned VES-created DBQ and Medical Opinion trainings are assigned in Reach360 (varies but 1-2 hours on average)
  • PEP session (which is now just a quick check in) happens before first exams to verify the provider has reviewed DBQ training content and feels prepared for first day of exams
  • First exams are seen
  • Optional Up Front QA session is offered to the provider for live review of first exam reports
  • Once established if the provider is willing and there is a need VES may ask for them to travel to other areas to assist with these cases travel expenses will be reimbursed per VES guideline

*Please Note: Per the exhibit terms 4.5- The client may terminate an assignment within 48 hours notice in writing with or without cause. This overrides the AHSA 30 day cancellation.*

  • Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if they attended school in a different country. - REQUIRED
