Working in Fanduel Risk and Trading Technology team in Melbourne Australia and reporting into the Senior Software Engineering Manager you will drive technical excellence and delivery across the full software development lifecycle while coaching and developing high-performing engineering talent.

- Drive Technical Vision- Lead and inspire engineering teams while defining the technical strategy and architecture for mission-critical customer-facing systems that serve millions of users.
- Shape Product Strategy- Collaborate with product managers designers and stakeholders to architect scalable solutions that enhance user experience for our traders and eventually our 10Mactive customers.
- Develop Engineering Excellence- Mentor and grow a diverse team of engineering professionals through personalized coaching career development planning and technical guidance.
- Ensure Delivery Excellence- Drive high-quality software delivery by balancing technical debt feature velocity and system reliability while maintaining 99.9% uptime for high-scale systems.
- Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration- Partner with engineering leadership product teams and business stakeholders to deliver complex initiatives and resolve technical challenges across multiple teams.
The Stats
- Hands on prior experience as an engineer in full-stack development (Java C# JavaScript React etc.).
- 5 years of software engineering experience with 3 years in people management
- Proven track record managing teams through complete SDLC.
- Knowledge of Testing frameworks (nunit cucumber selenium cypress or similar).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and software delivery best practices.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and modern architectures.
