Job Duties

The Department of Engineering programs and functions support the Universitys mission by welcoming and extending Department resources to all who strive for academic excellence whatever their national racial ethnic or religious affiliation. Department programs and courses provide particular support for Mission principles concerned with teaching and scholarship in the disciplines of computer science computer engineering and manufacturing engineering globally oriented studies and students who are diversely prepared for employment in industry and/or graduate and professional schools.

The faculty in this position is responsible for the delivery of instruction to students and to engage in professional activities primarily related to effective teaching research in the discipline and significant service to students the University the profession the community and humankind at large.

Job duties:

- Course Teaching (up to 12 credits): Online and/or face-to-face
- Research and Scholarly activities
- University/Community Service



The position will have a start date of Fall 2026.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Demonstrated knowledge of a field including current developments in the teaching and research discipline housed in the department with emphasis on the particular program.

- Demonstrated ability to perform continuous program improvement.

- Demonstrated ability to develop effective curriculum materials.

- Demonstrated ability to organize and effectively present course work.

- Demonstrated ability to elicit student interest.

- Demonstrated ability to contribute generally to student academic progress in a significant way.

- Demonstrated ability to manage and organize the classroom environment.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement assessment activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- PhD in Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
