Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Scheduling:Develop and manage efficient bus routes and schedules ensuring on-time student pick-up and drop-off.
- Driver Coordination:Serve as the primary contact for bus drivers communicating route updates and navigating traffic or weather-related issues.
- Emergency Response:Handle transportation emergencies such as accidents or delays dispatching assistance promptly and informing relevant stakeholders.
- Communication:Maintain clear and consistent communication with drivers school officials and parents to address any concerns or changes.
- Fleet Monitoring:Use GPS and dispatch software to track bus locations ensuring adherence to routes and schedules.
- Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all transportation operations comply with relevant student transportation regulations.
- Record Keeping:Accurately document routes driver assignments and any incidents for reporting and analysis.
- Continuous Improvement:Work with transportation managers to enhance routing efficiency and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dispatch software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred to effectively communicate with families drivers and staff.

Starting rate of $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
