Retail Sales Manager/Assistant Store Manager
Reports to: Store General Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:The major responsibility of the Assistant Store Manager is to assist the SGM in driving profitable sales growth through the delivery of outstanding customer service. This must be accomplished through development of a positive and productive retail-selling environment. Additionally Assistant Store Managers need to develop and maintain outstanding associate/doctor satisfaction and retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The duties noted below are considered to be essential job functions for one of the following reasons: performance of the duty is why the job exists failure to perform the duty may have serious consequences limited number of employees available to perform duty or the duty requires specialized skills.
Drive profitable store sales by fostering a customer focused retail selling culture.
Personally delivers and promotes a retail sales environment that maximizes one-on-one customer interaction.
Assist with Attainment of store operating profit plan sales goal and comp store sales growth.
Manage payroll cost effectively in accordance with Company standards.
Effectively train and develop associates to focus on sales and customer service.
Develop team of administratively skilled associates that provide support on daily operational tasks allowing the OM to focus on sales customer service and associate development.
Develop professional business relationships/partnerships with Doctors.
Accountable for the recruitment training development motivation and retention of Associates.
Ensure each store is effectively merchandised and presented according to standards.
Ensure high quality through customer follow-up accurate measurements correct pricing POS entry.
Execution of operational procedures i.e. safety and maintenance
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional local travel within 25 mile radius.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree or comparable experience in retail operations.
