Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance mechanic/electrician must have the ability to perform skilled work in troubleshooting repair preventative maintenance and installation of industrial equipment and machinery. Work includes general mechanical repairs troubleshooting using prints and manuals HVAC troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic repairs electrical troubleshooting and repairs and preventative maintenance duties.
- Proficient at troubleshooting 480V 208V 120V 24V and 12V motor controls.
- Preventative maintenance troubleshooting and repair of custom computer-controlled software including Lectra Gerber ASC systems C-Scan Tech Scan and inkjet part markers.
- Ability to dismantle defective equipment and machinery and install new or repaired parts.
- Preventative maintenance including changing belts bulbs filters etc. as needed.
- Troubleshooting plant equipment when necessary.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to independently communicate with equipment manufacturers help-line to resolve problems.
- Maintain forklift certification per company and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a regular and reliable schedule as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines.
- Abide by all safety quality personnel and other policies as applicable; including arc flash electrical safety and LOTO.
Marginal Work Requirements:
- Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the department and company.
- Be actively engaged in the departments 6S program and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Clean within the department.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and in house training.
Work Qualifications:
- Formal education: 2 year Electronics degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years experience in electrical field. Able to read and understand electrical pneumatic and hydraulic prints and manuals. Proven track record of finding and resolving maintenance problems.
- Computer Skills: Must be able to use basic computer operations relative to data entry and ERP system.
- Certificates and Licenses: AB PLC programming and HVAC preferred. Robotic programming a plus.
Compensation
The compensation package includes hourly base pay and an array of benefits including participation in Royals Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The target range for this role is $28.50-36.00/hour. Compensation for this role will be heavily dependent upon relevant experience education and skills.
