1. Role Overview

As a Cloud Operations Specialist you will manage maintain and optimize AWS infrastructure ensuring high availability security and cost efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation monitoring and compliance best practices.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Design deploy and maintain AWS infrastructure (EC2 S3 RDS VPC IAM Lambda).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Build / maintaining / updating monitoring and alerting tooling to monitor environment applications databases as well as business transactions.
• Oversee implementation /support and identity management authentication authorization token services for federated single sign-on using technologies such as SAML OAuth LDAP Active Directory.
• Engages in complex issues requiring an in-depth understanding of organizational objectives and strategic direction leveraging comprehensive knowledge to address challenges and drive strategic initiatives forward.
• Collaborate with Application support teams outsource partners to Troubleshoot production SaaS events / issues including cloud infrastructure and application components.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources using AWS CloudWatch CloudTrail and cost management tools.
• Collaborate with software development to maintain test / staging / production environments to meet uptime performance cost and security goals.
• Build and maintain enterprise monitoring platforms and scripts including basic infrastructure checks and synthetic transactions.
• Enforce security best practices and compliance standards (HIPAA GDPR SOC2).
• Automate operational tasks using scripting languages (Python Bash PowerShell).
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes).
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies.
• Collaborate with DevOps development support and security teams for seamless cloud integration.
• Maintain and update the Install base

3. Required Qualifications

• Experience: 810 years in IT with 5 years in AWS cloud operations.
• Bachelors degree (BE / B Tech) in Business Computer Science Information Systems or related field preferred.
• A minimum of three years experience in 24x7 cloud or SaaS production operations.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2 S3 RDS VPC IAM FSx Lambda Transit Gateway).
• Experience with cloud networking controls i.e. routing load balancing port filtering access control lists security groups NAT and web application firewalls.
• Handson experience with Windows Server 2019 -2025
• Experience with DNS Active Directory and SSL Certificates
• Knowledge of AWS Direct connect
• Proficiency in Terraform CloudFormation.
• Experience with ServiceNow event management change management incident management.
• Experience in Veeam backup and recovery would be preferred
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
• Scripting skills in Python Bash or PowerShell.
  Understanding of elasticity and scalability concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Requires highly effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry.
• Experience working within a regulated environment
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus Grafana).
• Familiarity with deployment Antivirus and patching tools (Octopus Deploy Automox Trend Micro).
• Exposure to FinOps for cost optimization.
• Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator preferred.
  • Certification in Microsoft windows server (minimal administration)
  • Certification in Kubernetes administration
  • Certification in ITIL foundation

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companys facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companys main facilities generally at the customers or suppliers locations.
