A Day in the Life

Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes.
Were a mission-driven leader in medical technology and solutions with a legacy of integrity and innovation join our new Minimed India Hub as the Principal Financial Analyst in the Employee Expense Management (EEM) team you will play a key role in day-to-day EEM performance and partner governance reporting directly to the Global EEM Lead. You will run the operating cadence with our BPO provider (Accenture) and key stakeholders to ensure the expense process remains stable compliant and employee-friendly meeting agreed SLAs/KPIs driving service quality and resolving escalations efficiently. You also drive insights and efficiency through automation and analytics.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronics Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • BPO governance & performance management: Run the daily/weekly/monthly governance routines with Accenture. Monitor SLA/KPI results aging/backlog quality themes and customer feedback; drive corrective actions and ensure closure on commitments.

  • Escalations & issue resolution: Own operational escalations end-to-end coordinate cross-functional resolution drive root-cause analysis and implement preventative actions with Accenture and stakeholders.

  • Corporate Card provider partnership: Manage day-to-day operational collaboration with the corporate card provider (feeds exceptions disputes/chargebacks outages settlement timing) ensuring fast resolution and transparent communications.

  • Concur operations & change coordination: Coordinate Concur issue triage and enhancements with IT and Accenture; support releases through requirements definition UAT execution readiness communications and post-release stabilization.

  • Controls compliance & audit readiness: Maintain and evolve EEM SOPs/RACI/control narratives and evidence standards. Support audits and ensure timely remediation tracking.

  • Close support & financial integrity: Support EEM-related close activities (e.g. accruals reporting) and proactively flag operational drivers that may impact financials.

  • Utilize the Microsoft Power suite to automate processes drive efficiency and create reporting that fits the organizations needs for analytics.

  • Continuous improvement (aligned with Global EEM Lead direction): Convert operational insights into a structured improvement backlog; lead problem solving using Lean/Six Sigma/Agile methods and track realized benefits.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.

  • 710 years experience in Employee Expense Management (T&E); strong preference for experience in shared service/BPO-governed environments.

  • Working knowledge of Concur (operations and reporting; comfortable partnering with system admins/IT).

  • Proven experience managing third-party performance through governance routines SLA/KPI management and structured escalation handling.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles internal controls and audit support.

  • Experienced in the Microsoft Power suite (e.g. Power BI Power Automate Power Apps).

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Experienced in applying Lean / Six Sigma / Agile methods as project lead.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills in a global matrix environment; able to drive outcomes without formal authority.

  • Strong English communication skills.
