Overview
Field Service Engineer is responsible to maintain install and repair AXS products at both internal and external customer sites. This position works independently to resolve all assigned customer and technical issues. Partners with Sales and Service management to drive customer satisfaction and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Completes and successfully pass assigned training tasks on assigned products and responsibilities
- Working knowledge of applications/software workflow
- Performing high quality installation repair and maintenance on mass spec instruments
- Assigned and responsible for customer satisfaction
- Performs IQ/OQ and other qualification products. Includes training.
- Performs preventive maintenance on select products
- Demonstrates and completes all administration duties
- Maintains own tool and parts inventory to ensure adequate supply
- Assist District/Process Manager with coordinating background work and leading technical discussions for regional escalations
- Troubleshoots and resolves difficult service situations both within assigned accounts as well as across the district/region
- Detailed technical speech of company products in seminars.
May fill in for District Manager as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above major in: Physics or Electronics Mechanical.
- 2-3 years customer service experience
- Proven system analytical problem solving skills.
- Works independently and as part of team
- Knowledge of electrical and electro- mechanical technology
- Able and willing to learning new technology and new skill.
- Well communication skills required either to internal partner and customers.
- Well oral and written English skill.
- Well computer skills using windows and Microsoft office.
- Able and willing to travel extensively to cover our distributed instrument base.
