Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for HDD Teardown FA all customers from China.
- Owning of the mechanical failure analysis process and equipment.
- Documentation of all observations and conclusions through images teardown analysis and possible cause of failure.
- Discussing the FA findings and communicating the next course of analysis.
- General housekeeping including maintenance logs and calibration schedule for all lab equipment
- Ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
- Provide effective information on tool or process improvements related to FA.
Qualifications :
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) Electrical Engineering Physics or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years of experience in hard disk drive or related industry
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Hands-on individual who enjoys lab work and performs analysis using high-power microscopes and precision equipment
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Basic knowledge of hard disk drive and head/disk interface
- Familiarity with analytical techniques: Raman FTIR SEM and TOF-SIMS
- Familiarity with electrical failure analysis methodology and interpretation of findings
- Data analytical skills
