What Makes This Role Great:
In this role you will be a cornerstone of our newly established Krakow Accounting Team directly influencing the accuracy of our European financial reporting and helping to build our local accounting culture from day one.
Key Exciting Responsibilities:
1. General Ledger & Financial Closing
Support the full monthly quarterly and year-end closing cycles in accordance with corporate deadlines.
Prepare and post manual journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
Maintain and update fixed asset registers and accrual schedules.
2. Reconciliations & Reporting
Perform regular balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and packages for the Finance Director and corporate headquarters.
Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and explanations for accounting treatments.
3. Transactional & AP Support
Manage a low volume of Accounts Payable transactions including invoice processing and payment preparation.
Monitor vendor accounts and ensure timely resolution of payment-related queries.
4. Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows within the European accounting team
Participate in digitalization projects and ERP system enhancements to improve transactional productivity.
Essential Skills & Experience
35 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance ideally within a multinational or SSC environment.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Strong written and verbal English skills (C1 level preferred) for seamless global communication.
Solid understanding of core accounting principles and a high level of analytical precision.
Bonus Points For:
Experience working with US GAAP reporting.
Proficiency in major ERP systems like Oracle SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
Proficiency in Polish
