The HR Generalist supports manufacturing operations in Aurora Ohio by providing comprehensive human resources services. This role partners closely with management and employees to foster a positive workplace culture ensure compliance with employment laws and drive initiatives that support organizational goals. The HR Generalist is responsible for implementing company HR programs and initiatives employee relations performance management and HR administration playing a key role in supporting both hourly and salaried staff within a fast-paced production environment.
Recruitment & Onboarding: Track all hiring needs for the business in coordination with the Talent Acquisition team. May participate in candidate screening interviewing and onboarding of new hires.
Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors addressing workplace concerns conducting investigations and facilitating conflict resolution.
Performance & Talent Management: Support managers in administering performance reviews goal setting and development plans. Assist in identifying training needs and organizing learning opportunities.
HR Policy Administration: Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws including OSHA FMLA ADA and EEO regulations.
Payroll & Benefits Administration: Assist with payroll processing benefits enrollment and responding to employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits.
Workforce Reporting & Analytics: Prepare HR reports and metrics for management including turnover attendance and workforce demographics.
Health Safety & Wellness: Support workplace safety initiatives and assist with workers compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in HR and cross-functional projects to improve processes and enhance employee engagement.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
2 years of HR experience preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
This position is located onsite at the manufacturing plant in Aurora Ohio. The HR Generalist will interact regularly with staff on the production floor and in office settings. Occasional travel may be required for training or other company events.
The HR Generalist reports to the Sr. HRBP for Manufacturing Operations and works closely with plant leadership and HR partners.
