Job Summary
Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Engineer with expertise in Performance Testing to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the scalability reliability and responsiveness of our applications by designing executing and analyzing performance and load tests. You will work closely with developers DevOps and business stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance across a variety of environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and execute performance load stress endurance and scalability test scripts.
Collaborate with product owners developers and architects to define performance benchmarks and acceptance criteria.
Use performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter LoadRunner Gatling k6 BlazeMeter) to simulate real-world user scenarios.
Monitor system resource utilization (CPU memory I/O network) during test execution.
Analyze test results identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization.
Work with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues.
Create and maintain test documentation including test strategies plans scripts and reports.
Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous performance validation.
Stay up to date with emerging tools trends and best practices in performance engineering.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and engineering.
Strong experience with one or more performance testing tools (JMeter LoadRunner Gatling etc.).
Solid understanding of software architecture (web mobile APIs microservices cloud-based applications).
Proficiency in scripting languages (Java Python Groovy or similar) for custom test scenarios.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics.
Familiarity with monitoring and APM tools (e.g. Dynatrace New Relic Grafana Prometheus AppDynamics).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of SQL and database performance optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and their performance monitoring tools.
Background in capacity planning and performance tuning.
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes).
Exposure to security and reliability testing.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
