Department of Electronic Systems Aalborg University invites applications for a student helper position (or one or more/two or more positions) as Student helper in Connectivity Lab. The position is available from March 1 2026 or soon hereafter and for 2 years 4 months. The weekly number of hours is 6.
Description of project and tasks
Building and extending experimental platforms for low-energy wireless IoT systems and 5G/6G functionality prototyping based on SDRs. Helping to develop test-procedures and conduct experiments. Development of software for proof-of-concept setups.
Your competences
Strong programming skills (Python C/C or similar) and familiarity with software development practices. Solid understanding of wireless communications fundamentals and hands-on experience with RF/SDR tools or experimental platforms. Ability to independently plan and execute experiments document procedures systematically and troubleshoot technical issues. Self-directed work style with good communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and collaborating within the research group.

Salary and terms of employment
Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable LC/CO10 Collective Agreement (Official title: LC/CO10-fællesoverenskomsten) and Organisational Agreement for IT Employees (PROSA) in State Service (Official title: Organisationsaftale for IT-medarbejdere (PROSA) i statens tjeneste). There is a mutual probationary period of 3 months for the position.
