Our team is looking for an Associate Director to oversee a team to deliver a mix of Commercial / Landlord capital works upgrade projects:
To lead Project Management Commissions taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery often with respect to large or complex projects.
- Build upon an already established network in the Landlord / Commercial / REIT client base to identify opportunities as part of their Sector Leadership role and be responsible for leading the team to drive growth and achieving the budgets set
To act as the key day to day client interface ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
Manage all aspects of the project and both the internal team and consultant team to deliver quality outputs on time.
Manage commissions cashflows budgets plus assist with resourcing and superintendent recommendations.
Training and development of junior staff (transfer of skills to graduates and assistant PMs).
Qualifications :
- A minimum of 10-15 years experience from a client-side project management consultancy.
- Well-connected within the Melbourne construction and property industry (relationships with Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) will be preferred).
- Active in business generation and able to lead a team to drive growth in the Sector
- Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of construction law and contract administration.
- Manage builder procurement tendering and contract negotiations.
- Act as Superintendent under relevant building contracts.
- Have high attention to detail and able to manage the design process for architectural structural and services.
- Drive program budget and quality control to meet the companys high standards.
- Establish and implement best-in-class delivery systems and processes.
- Build strong industry relationships with builders consultants and key stakeholders.
- Construction project management experience across commercial occupier projects
- Significant experience in end to end delivery of medium size projects from scoping to approvals to construction; ideally on the client side
- Strong stakeholder management
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification related to Construction Project Management
- Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project including time cost technical and performance parameters.
- Planning and managing quality safety health and environment issues on projects.
- Establishing effective project governance processes and systems to be utilised throughout project.
- Project planning including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan.
- Advising upon the procurement of contractors and consultants.
- Monitoring and advising upon project finances.
