Job Summary

The Director Account ExecutiveUS Issuing Fintech will serve as the primary relationship and business lead for a select group of Visas most innovative and influential US neobank partners. These clients are shaping the future of consumer digital banking rapidly evolving their offerings to meet the needs of everyday this externally facing and highly strategic role you will act as a trusted advisor growth architect and ambassador for Visa responsible for developing and executing holistic partnership strategies championing Visas capabilities and orchestrating cross-functional teams to drive innovation and tangible business results. Success in this role will require strong industry fluency executive presence collaborative leadership and a passion for building deep strategic relationships in a rapidly evolving landscape. This role requires an experienced network payments professional with account management or business development experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

Account Leadership & Strategy:

  • Be accountable for the growth profitability performance and operation of the payments business for a portfolio of Tier 1 US neobanks owning the holistic account plans and orchestrating cross-functional teams to deliver on shared objectives. 
  • Identify and pursue high-impact partnership opportunities whether new product launches pilots or innovative joint solutions. 
  • Maintain a pulse on market trends regulatory developments and the evolving competitive landscape proactively advise Visa leadership and clients on implications and opportunities. 
  • Build and nurture strong multi-level relationships with client executives and internal stakeholders ensuring alignment and support throughout both organizations. 

Business Development & Execution:

  • Drive the end-to-end deal process: from opportunity identification and ideation through negotiation contracting and execution. 
  • Deliver against key sales and business growth metrics ensuring Visas offerings are front-of-mind as our clients expand. 
  • Proven ability to create strategic solutions (product/business development marketing and/or technology solutions) and implement them to drive top line results.   
  • Collaborate with Product Legal Finance Risk Client Services and other internal teams to move as quickly as our partners execute with excellence and support ongoing program success. 

Thought Leadership & Communication:

  • Represent Visa as a segment expert in the US neobank market bring a strategic perspective and credible voice to internal and external discussions. 
  • Educate Visa teams on market developments and partner priorities influencing broader company strategy. 
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and status updates to internal and client leadership. 

Innovation & Product Solutioning:

  • Partner with clients to co-create and operationalize new solutions leveraging Visas capabilities across payments and consumer card products in the evolving U.S. regulatory landscape. 
  • Champion a culture of innovation identifying piloting and scaling new ideas that drive mutual growth. 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications :
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
Deep expertise and genuine interest in the intersection of payments and fintech demonstrated by hands-on experience thought leadership or a strong industry network.
8 years managing complex high-profile client relationships in payments or financial technology.
Proven success in driving strategic partnerships or enterprise sales including structuring negotiating and closing multi-faceted deals with fast-moving innovative companies.
Industry insider mentality: able to speak the language of neobanks to quickly build credibility and navigate the rapidly evolving industry dynamics.
Exceptional strategic thinking with a demonstrated ability to anticipate market shifts and translate insights into actionable plans.
Creative approach to problem-solving and product solutioningable to manage ambiguity surface opportunities and deliver results in uncharted territory.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships with all levels including executive management.
Strong executive presence comfortable engaging with C-level leaders and representing Visa in industry forums.
Track record of influencing and aligning cross-functional teams internally and externally to drive complex initiatives forward.
Entrepreneurial intellectually curious and highly collaborative energized by working in fast-paced ambiguous and high-growth environments.


Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 178300.00 to 285600.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
