An exciting opportunity for a motivated proactive and determined Supply Supervisor to join our team at St Andrews Ipswich Private Hospital.

About the Role

The Theatre Supply Supervisor will coordinate and control the purchasing of goods services and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures to achieve the hospitals requirement at the best value consistent with appropriate quality and service standards.

You will also direct and coordinate the efficient receiving storage and issuing of general and medical supplies and equipment while maintaining all administrative and clerical requirements of the role.

About you

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional and required to manage stores and supply for the facility including Ward stock as well as Theatre supplies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in supply chain or inventory management ideally within a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to liaise effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Proactive and solution-focused mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement and stock control procedures including compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Proficient in using inventory management systems and MS Office applications (especially Excel).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality safety and quality standards.
  • Experience using SAP or a similar materials management system.
  • Exposure to quality assurance practices with a willingness to identify and implement improvements.
