As an On-Call Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating our weekend care operations ensuring a responsive and high-quality service for both Clients and Care Professionals outside of normal business addition the role includes being on-call for two agreed weekdays providing support and leadership as required.
This position requires strong leadership and decision-making abilities excellent communication skills and the confidence to act quickly and appropriately in high-pressure situations.
- Manage Clients needs and take responsibility for their ongoing care and support during out-of-hours periods with a strong focus on person-centred care. This includes cover between 5.00pm on Friday and 8.45am on Monday as well as agreed on-call weekdays from 5pm until 08.45am the following morning
- Ensure continuity of care by arranging cover for Client visits during periods of sickness absence or when emergencies prevent Care Professionals from completing their planned schedule. This may include covering a visit yourself.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing Clients their families and other professionals involved in their care.
- Provide out-of-hours support and guidance to Care Professionals offering clear direction and reassurance when required.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Care Professionals to ensure effective and timely response to staffing needs.
- Deliver a comprehensive handover to the office team ensuring all actions and follow-ups are clearly communicated and addressed promptly.
Qualifications :
- Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- At least 2 years experience in the care sector delivering a wide range of personal care
services.
- Experience of working with medication administration record sheets (MAR) and medication in a supervisory role.
- Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Must be confident to use care management technology
- Must understand the importance of confidentiality working within current legislation.
- Good working knowledge of IT systems with experience of Microsoft Office and virtual
communication platforms with the aptitude to learn and adopt new technologies and
software where appropriate.
- Must have a full driving license and means of transport to visit Clients and support Care Professionals as needed
