We are excited to being recruiting a Melbourne Office Manager reporting to the general manager and working alongside the technical manager you will play a key role in setting strategic goals developing plans and and ensuring the business achieves its core objectives including growth market presence and strong financial performance.

About CMW Melbourne
The Melbourne office consists of 25 team members and collaborates with key clients including Laing ORourke Jolland Holland Gamuda and NEOEN. The team is actively engaged in a range of significant infrastructure initiatives such as the Northeast Link Inland Rail level crossing removal projects and various renewable energy developments.
Responsibilities
- Work with other senior staff general managers and the board to develop the offices vision and prepare plans and strategies to achieve the vision.
- Work with other senior staff general managers and the board to prepare the annual budget.
- Monitor and report on progress implement systems as required to maximise revenue minimise overheads and control debtors / cash flow on an ongoing basis.
- Lead the office in the adoption of all legislative requirements company policies and procedures.
- Work with technical manager and functional teams to source recruit and retain motivated staff.
- In conjunction with senior technical staff and the Business Development Manager develop and support business development processes for the office including all staff in defining opportunities establishing relationships and building a work-winning culture.
To be successful for this role you will have:
- 5 years experience as a geotechnical professional in a consultancy
- Demonstrated management/leadership experience
- Experience with local geology clients and projects
- Strong Melbourne client network
- Proven track record in winning work
- High-level understanding of professional risk and governance requirements
- Well-developed quality and results-focused orientation
- Clear confident and articulate communicator
- Demonstrates a high level of initiative and problem-solving.
- Ability to think on your feet
