Job Summary

We are seeking a nurturing enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sevenoaks starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early years specialist who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their learning journey and helping them develop confidence independence and a love of learning.

The school has a strong Early Years Foundation Stage provision offering a safe stimulating and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to explore play and learn through a balance of child-led and adult-led activities. The leadership team is supportive and approachable with a strong focus on staff wellbeing collaboration and professional development.

As an EYFS Teacher you will plan deliver and assess high-quality play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework. You will support childrens development across all prime and specific areas of learning including communication and language personal social and emotional development early literacy and numeracy. You will work closely with teaching assistants parents and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging play-based EYFS lessons

  • Observe assess and track childrens progress across all areas of learning

  • Create a safe inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Support childrens personal social emotional and communication development

  • Differentiate activities to meet the needs of all children including SEN

  • Build strong positive relationships with parents and carers

  • Work collaboratively with EYFS colleagues and support staff

  • Maintain accurate assessment records and learning journals

  • Promote positive behaviour routines and independence

  • Follow safeguarding health and safety and school policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

  • Have experience teaching in EYFS or Reception

  • Be caring patient and child-centred in approach

  • Be creative organised and reflective in practice

  • Have strong knowledge of the EYFS framework

  • Be an effective communicator and team player

  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
