Job Summary

ABOUT THE ROLE

ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We are currently seeking full-time Hungarian-Enghlis Translator candidates to join our team in support of the US Air Force in Papa Air Base. This position will provide on-site language and administrative support to U.S. personnel and their families stationed at Pápa Air Base. This role is critical to daily operations and community support ensuring clear communication between U.S. staff and Hungarian institutions both on and off base. The position combines professional translation services with light administrative and community-facing responsibilities.. Successful candidates will possess 1 year of professional translation or interpretation services. Current access to Papa AB is required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Provide real-time oral translation between Hungarian and English during meetings appointments and official interactions.
Translate written documents accurately and efficiently meeting established daily output expectations.
Support U.S. personnel and dependents during interactions with local hospitals veterinarians vendors and government offices.
Assist individuals with understanding and navigating the Hungarian VAT exemption process.
Prepare written summaries or meeting notes following translated engagements when required.
Support minor administrative functions at the Community Activity Center including scheduling key control and coordination of local events.
Deliver group newcomer orientations covering language basics cultural norms and community resources.
Provide on-call translation support outside normal duty hours for emergency situations.

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Fluency in spoken and written Hungarian and English.
Minimum of one year of professional translation or interpretation experience.
Strong verbal communication skills including public speaking and live interpretation.
Ability to produce clear accurate written translations and summaries.
Eligible for access to Pápa Air Base and able to meet all host-nation security requirements.
Professional demeanor discretion and ability to handle sensitive personal information.
