UAAs Aviation Technology Division is seeking Flight Operations Desk Assistants (ODAs) to support the day-to-day operations of the Flight Operations department. There are 2 levels within this labor pool: ODA Level I and ODA Level II each with distinct responsibilities and minimum experience requirements as noted.
These Student Assistant positions are required to work flexible hours which will be based around your class schedule. Hours may include mornings evenings nights and weekends depending on department needs and your availability. Exact hours to be coordinated between the employee and supervisor.

To be eligible for student employment an applicant must:
a. Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment
or
b. Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters
and
c. Have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or approval from the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs or their designee.

Introductory (3-6 months) office/administrative experience.
ODA Level II:
Beginning (6-12 months) office/administrative experience with a background in the aviation education or industry.
Position Details:
This Student Assistant 2 position is located on the Aviation Technology Complex at Merrill Field Airport in Anchorage AK. Pay is $15.26/hour.
