This is a pool from which the College of Engineering (CoEng) College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) Community Technical College (CTC) Business Enterprise Institute (BEI) and the School of Education (SoEd) will draw upon when research technicians are needed to work on sponsored projects. These units conduct applied and fundamental scientific research which may include collecting synthesizing archiving and distributing data. Some field work may be included in addition to administrative or technical duties.
Knowledge of data collection procedures data entry procedures and computerized spreadsheets and databases. Ability to manipulate data to produce charts and graphs to display trends in data. Ability to interpret data results for reporting. Ability to work in remote locations sometimes in extreme conditions. Ability to coordinate/lead the activities of others.

Research Technician 1: High school graduation and 6 months experience in field relevant to research or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Research Technician 2: 1 years relevant college coursework and 1 years experience in relevant field or equivalent combination training and experience.
Research Technician 3: 2 years relevant college coursework and 2 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Research Technician 4: Bachelors degree in relevant field and 4 years experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
