POSITION SUMMARY:
- Assist the Systems Coordinator with the maintenance implementation and support of DISDs mission-critical enterprise applications (including Skyward transportation nutrition and HR/Business systems) and the rapidly expanding portfolio of digital learning applications
- Serve as the backup for the Systems Coordinator
- Troubleshoot maintain and support instructional software for campus staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelors degree or commensurate experience
Experience:
- Some experience managing software applications including student information systems grade book programs and business systems in the educational environment(preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Technically fluent in Excel and Access
- Relational database administration and reporting knowledge (preferred)
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Test install configure and deploy software for all district departments with a primary focus on instructional applications in addition to other district operating software
- Serve as the first-line dedicated application support specialist for teachers and campus staff regarding instructional software issues
- Evaluate and assist in the management of the Student Information System (Skyward) and other core enterprise applications like Finance Plus
- Perform daily monitoring and troubleshooting of application systems; install and configure patches and upgrades as required
- Collaborate regarding the districts Identity Management Solution
- Assist in the rostering and rollout of new instructional applications
- Instruct and assist with technology-related training
- Run reports for the various district campuses and departments
- Assist with Help Desk Operations when needed in addition to other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking standing kneeling stooping lifting light to heavy objects (up to 45 lbs)

- Indoor and outdoor work; possible exposure to weather noise and biological hazards
Mental Demands:
- High emotional resilience; ability to manage frequent interruptions and sensitive situations
- Occasional irregular hours and district-wide travel
Professional Dress:
- Dress must be clean neat and appropriate for the role. No visible body piercings other than earrings.
EVALUATION:
- Performance will be evaluated annually through self-evaluation and manager review
