Job Summary

The University of Alaska Southeast School of Arts & Sciences is accepting applications for adjunct faculty members for the upcoming academic year 2025-2026. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking professional teaching experience who have a passion for educating others in a specific subject. Adjunct positions are filled on a temporary basis. A successful candidate will encompass the following skills and abilities:

Knowledge of accepted instruction methods.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Public speaking skills.
Customer service skills.
Providing high-quality instruction through suitable academic preparation.
Familiar with computers and other technologies for instruction such as Blackboard.

Previous teaching experience is preferred.

Bachelors degree/Masters degree in a field related to the position or an equivalent combination of training and experience. 2 years of relevant experience in the field or courses to be taught.

Position Details:

This is a part-time adjunct faculty position. Minimum salaries are set by the United Academic - Adjunct AAUP-AT/AFL-CIO collective bargaining agreement. Salaries may vary based upon education and experience.
