Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and talented intern to join our team as a 2026 Summer Intern focusing on XR Frameworks development. As part of the Samsung Research America (SRA/MPS) lab you will be working on the next generation of AR/XR frameworks technologies using C. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of proof of concepts that will shape the future of augmented and mixed reality experiences.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement proof of concepts for next-generation AR/XR framework technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of developed solutions.
  • Work on the design development and optimization of XR frameworks using C.
  • Conduct debugging and troubleshooting to identify and address issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to XR frameworks.
  • Gain hands-on experience working on cutting-edge AR/XR technologies.
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals and contribute to real-world projects.
  • Networking opportunities with industry leaders and professionals.

Required Skills:

  • Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science
  • Strong proficiency in C
  • Familiarity with Android or Embedded programming
  • Experience with 3D graphics concepts like OpenGL or Vulkan is a plus
  • Solid debugging skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues

The hourly pay rate range for roles at this level is listed below but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within the hourly pay rate range individual rates depend on a number of factorsincluding the roles function and location as well as the individuals knowledge skills experience education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.
