RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for preparation and communication of daily work schedules and changes for production for Whole Birds Bone In Breast Line BIP Tray Pack Scheduling Working with the rest of the Raw Material team on updates to the boning schedule for the Melrose Plant.
2. Prioritize work schedule to meet customer orders.Write Transfer Orders and Order raw materials for the BIP tray pack schedule for the next day.
3. Work closely with shipping and traffic departments to ensure transportation needs are met to deliver daily orders.
4. Attendand report on daily meetings as assigned by Manager.
5. Execute the transfer ofBIP BIB Whole Birds with assistance and direction from Manager.
6. Additional duties assigned based on current business needs. May require some weekend and after hour access for problem resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• At least one year of experience in one or combined areas of Plant operations Transportation Logistics Production Scheduling Distribution or Supply Chain experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
• Strong Interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to adapt to a changing environment.
• Have strong process orientation skills.
• Strong skills working with AS400.
• Strong skills in Excel spreadsheets
• A pattern of initiative and leadership
• Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Able to work some Saturdays when required.

Preferred:

• Associate degree in Business
• Main Frame Experience

At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $19.25-$27.00 per hour and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location.
