Iona University seeks anAdjunctProfessor to teach occupation-based orthopedic course and occupational therapy adult rehabilitation courses and related lab experiences

Required Experience

  • A Masters degree or doctoral degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE)
  • New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist or eligible for NYS OT License
  • Academic teaching experience preferred
  • Strong Clinical Experience in rehabilitation settings
  • Collegiality and openness for collaborating with other faculty members connecting course to other program course work as well as for addressing ACOTE accreditation standards

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides student-centered learning environment
  • Teaching responsibilities: primary instruction of didactic courses u
  • Optimizes class/lab/online environment that is conducive to student learning by developing creative challenging and evidence-based learning opportunities
  • Uses learning assessment information to improve teaching and curriculum
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives to meet program and institutional goals
  • Stays current with clinical practice and evidence that support content area expertise and professional growth
  • Designs and implements course learning activities and assignments to promote students attaining learning objectives for this course including ACOTE standards.



Qualifications
