Job Summary
Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a visiting position in the Department of Psychology beginning August 2026 to teach Animal Behavior and related upper-level courses at the undergraduate level. The rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor depending on qualifications. Appointment is for nine months per year (August - May); the possibility of renewal for a second or third academic year is contingent on teaching performance needs of the department and administrative approval. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
Applicants should possess or be closetocompleting a doctorate (or terminal degree) in Psychology Biology Anthropology or a related experience required. Teaching load is 3/3. Questions about the position should be addressed to the search committee chair Dr. Elena Cuffari at
The Psychology Department and interdisciplinary program in Biological Foundations of Behavior are committed to excellence in both teaching and scholarship. Both the department and program are seated in the Natural Science Division of the College and our curricula emphasize student research and laboratory experience. The area of research specialization is open; research support and laboratory space are addition access to F&Ms Vivarium existing animal collections and animal care staff is available for IACUC-approved research and teaching.
