Requirements: Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Hours: 5:20am 3:15pm
Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.
Position Summary:
This position collects data in the feed conversion houses and dissection laboratory by using measuring instruments and electronic devices. Other duties may be assigned.
MinimumRequirements:
Basic computer skills for inputting dataregardingdissection data via tablet.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect Data and Perform House Checklist within Feed Conversion Housesand Brood Feed Conversion Housesperforming the following duties: weigh chickensinto and out of their cages; record and add feed to feeders as needed; collect data with pen and paper and/or on a computer or tablet; check birds heart rate and blood oxygen with pulse-oximeter following the accepted protocols; dispose of dead birds as instructed; feed birds according to schedules; clean and disinfect equipment; house set-up;perform routine housekeeping duties; segregate birds according to line and sex as instructed; remove and place birds in cages according to schedules; examine birds for signs of illness and report any problems to lead or manager; monitor controls and thermostats that regulate temperature and humidity of the poultry house; perform simple math as part of recording information according to instructions such as bird weight feed added feed and mortality; repair align and construct cages pens or equipment (feeders water lines lights ventsetc)(50%)
Collect Data within Dissection Laboratory performing the following duties: euthanize birds; use scalpel to dissect birds into
specific parts to accepted protocols; visually score for defects in physiology; use a caliper to collect data; enter weights and defects into tablet or computer; dispose of dead dissect birds into incinerators(40%)
Other duties responsibilities and activities:
These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice such as:collect swab samples; clean disinfect and haul coops; maintain foot bath hand sanitizer hydro-foamer sweep mop and other general cleaning; properly euthanize weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy(10%)

Thejobsiteis abiosecureenvironment which requires showeringchanging clothing and footwear before entering the facility.Appropriate clothing and footwearisprovided by the Company.No jewelry may be worn on the jobsiteexcept formedical ID jewelry and body piercings covered byappropriate clothing.Must bewilling to sign an agreement to avoidany avian species (chickens ducks birds etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical: Mustuse safe lifting techniques.Mustregularlylift and/or move25poundsandoccasionallyup to50 pounds items such as cases of Synergize suppliesetc;tooccasionallyuse wheeled dollies to lift and/or move up to500 poundsof feed supplies etc. While performing the duties of this job the employee isregularlyrequired to stand majority of shift on concrete; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; climbing/ladder usage; stoop/bend up to 1000 times per day; repetitive hand/wrist movements while dissecting birds with scalpel knife or other cutting instrument; talk or hear; drive a vehicle within the farm complex. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. Must havegood communicationskills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.

Environment: Requiredto work on wet slippery surfaces and also work in hot dry extreme dusty wet and cold environments.
Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safetygogglessafety glassesface shield chemical gloves cutting gloves waterproof apron and rubber boots are required.Ear plugs will be used as needed.NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed.
Chemicals Commonly Used: Disinfectantssuch as SynergizeVirocidSimple Green Lysol etc.
Safety:TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication Respiratory Protection LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. TM is expected toidentifyaddressand mitigate safety related risks.
