Senior Systems Engineer

• To develop administer implement maintain optimise and support all new and existing ICT systems and infrastructure.
• Ensure develop implement and maintain security policies standards and procedures.
• Identify potential threats vulnerabilities and risks and provide mitigation and resolution.
• Configure support and maintain s all internal and external security issues for all systems.
• Monitoring of the IT environment via Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager SCOM
• Ensure installation configuration and monitoring of endpoint security i.e. antivirus patches

  security updates etc.

• Ensure backups are executed as per the backup procedure and schedule.
• Ensure disaster recovery is implemented and tested in line with business continuity plans.
• Ensure effective access control assessments and audits resolution.
• Ensure compliance to backup and patch management policy and procedures.
• Provide 2nd line system technical support to all Institutes.
• Lead the response to security incidents including identification containment eradication and recovery.
• Ensure all changes related to system environment are conducted in line with change control

• Degree or National Diploma Information Technology or related.
• 5 years experience in system management in a Microsoft environment.
• Backup software and Microsoft Server i.e. SCCM/ SCOM/Security/MCSE certifications ITIL will be an added advantage.
• Advanced server operating system experience (Windows and Linux) TCP/IP protocol tools and utilities.
• The ability to work under pressure and independently communicate technical information to non-technical. personnel install configure and maintain servers networks and related hardware and software.
• Knowledge of ICT security systems applications procedures and techniques.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Backups software SCCM SCOM and Patch management.
• The ability to identify and resolve ICT system. Malfunctions and operational problems and provide technical. training to end users.
