Occupational Therapists need to understand and be sensitive to the variouscultural differences and diversities exhibited within rural Vermont. The parents must be informed as to where the evaluation is being conducted for their Demands Traveling from case referral to case referral. Carrying testing materialsTravel RequiredOccupational Therapists need to be willing to travel to a childs school setting wherever the evaluator schedules the evaluation to be and Experience Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy Graduate from an accredited program in Occupational Therapy Experience working with children aged 221-year-olds. Bilingual if applicableAdditional Requirements Employees in this role are considered essential workers as part of the criticalinfrastructure. No prior criminal historyEducation and/or Experience: Masters degree preferred. Demonstrated skill in workingwith school students with disabilities is required. A working knowledge of SpecialEducation state and federal guidelines regulations and laws is essential. Knowledge andexperience with behavioral strategies accommodations and interventions for studentswith emotional/behavioral Licenses Registrations: Valid Vermont Teaching License with appropriateendorsement in Special Education (K-12).
