Staff Accountant II
Full-Time
Location: Northampton MA
Pay Range: $27-29/hour

ServiceNet is looking to add a Staff Accountant to our continously growing finance team. This position will be responsible for month-end closings of several accounts and handle inter-company transactions. Analyze specific general ledger accounts reconcile and provide documentation on a monthly basis. This person will also be expected to ensure all expenses are recorded correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation of various balance sheets and expense accounts; state and non-governmental billings
- Preparation of cost reimbursement billings and state and local contract billings
- State contracts vouchers as assigned.
- Miscellaneous Balance Sheet reconciliations as assigned.
- Preparation of financial reports and general ledgers.
- Analysis and preparation of budgets.
- Maintaining accounting of leases.
- General bookkeeping performance.
- Evaluate and recommend modifications and growth opportunities for accounting systems and procedures.
- Team builder supporter and player with integrity and loyalty.
- Dedication to serving the organizations goals and mission.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by presenting oneself in a professional manner that gets along with clients customers co-workers and supervisors.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (preferred)
- Minimum of two years of work experience in nonprofit public or similar accounting/bookkeeping required
- Experience with grant and state contracts (for example DDS DMH DPH etc) preferred
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and experience in Excel functions such as PivotTables and V-Lookups
- Keen attention to detail ability to work on various projects concurrently and ability to meet deadlines
