Starrycare is seeking dedicated and reliable Domestic Staff / Housekeepers to maintain high standards of cleanliness hygiene and comfort across our client sites. The role is essential in creating a safe welcoming and well-maintained environment for residents service users staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain rooms communal areas kitchens and bathrooms to a high standard
Follow cleaning schedules and infection control procedures
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly
Dispose of waste in line with health and safety guidelines
Report maintenance issues hazards or damages promptly
Replenish cleaning supplies and linen as required
Support laundry duties including washing drying ironing and folding
Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of residents and service users
Qualifications
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Understanding of cleaning hygiene and infection control standards
Right to work in the UK
Willingness to undergo background checks (DBS) if required
Requirements
Previous experience in domestic housekeeping or cleaning roles is an advantage but not essential
NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Cleaning Health & Social Care or a related field
Experience working in care homes hospitals hotels or supported living environments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Good time management and organisational skills
Reliable punctual and professional attitude
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and evenings if required
