Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced energetic and highly organised Live-in or Live-out Housekeeper for a lovely return client based in Virginia Water Surrey.

You will be working alongside another senior housekeeper so the ability to work effectively as a team player is essential.

The successful candidate must be able to follow instructions carefully while also taking initiative to ensure the smooth running of the household.

Your primary responsibility will be maintaining the home to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and organisation.

Duties will include cleaning and tidying all areas of the home ensuring each room is spotless and hygienic as well as cleaning interior windows and maintaining the outdoor patios pathways and steps sometimes using a jet washer. You will also be responsible for laundry duties including washing ironing and returning items to their appropriate places managing wardrobes mending clothes and arranging dry cleaning as needed.

In addition you will assist with food preparation tidying and organising the kitchen pantry and wine room ensuring all appliances are clean and in good working order. You will maintain the refrigerator and pantry discarding expired items and ensuring everything is well-stocked and organised. When required you will feed and walk the dogs and assist with watering plants and flower arranging.

Other key responsibilities include managing deliveries answering the door and phone running errands and assisting with special events such as dinner parties. You will handle petty cash liaise with tradesmen suppliers and contractors and ensure the security systems and alarms are maintained. You will also manage household cleaning supplies arrange for the servicing of household appliances and notify the employer immediately if any repairs are needed.

The role requires someone who is punctual reliable and capable of both following directions and working independently.

As part of a household team you will need to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the family carrying out other tasks as requested by the employer.

The position offers full-time hours Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm with one Saturday required per month.

A self-contained flat provided for live-in candidates.

The salary is up to 40k gross per annum depending on experience.
