Working pattern: Hybrid - minimum of two days per week in the office; up to three days per week working from home

Salary: 29000 - 30000 per annum depending on experience
General summary
An exciting opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic individual to join a small but busy International Sales team. As the international sales executive you will be providing essential support to ensure the smooth running of the team as well as looking after a select number of your own accounts. This role would suit someone currently working as an assistant looking for the next step in their publishing career.
The role will be part of the award-winning International Sales team working across the Adult & Childrens divisions. Proven organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively will be key. As this is a hands-on role across divisions there will be exposure to many departments and a fantastic opportunity be a vital part of helping the team meet their annual targets.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Support the International Sales Director with Australia South Africa and India
- Key point of contact for internal and external queries as well as building exceptional relationships with key stakeholders
- Processing orders and other administrative work such as managing invoicing co-ordinating direct deliveries arranging samples processing returns and other ad hoc queries
- Creating and maintaining sales material such as order forms and PowerPoint presentations for internal and external use
- Assisting the Sales and Marketing Executive with arranging samples and proofs being sent out to International customers
- Maintaining customer databases delivery grids and monthly schedule and stock availability mailings. Supporting sales managers with building submission grids and collating of information
- Providing support and organisation at external events like bookfairs where required
- Liaising with all other departments including Editorial Publicity Marketing Production and Design
- Managing commission reports and invoices for external reps
- Maintaining awareness of deadlines and using initiative to keep to them
Sales Responsibilities
- Delivering the sales budget for Bonnier Books UK in Southern Europe Belgium Africa (ex-Southern Africa) and Latin America
- Selling new titles but also maintaining and strategising on backlist sales in these territories
- Liaising with special sales and Production team to maximise orders for box-sets packs and special editions
- Regularly monitoring new title dues and tracking customer sales performance
- Ensuring all customers receive regular new title updates sales materials and catalogues and keeping customers informed of changes to the publishing programme
- Managing trading terms in conjunction with the Head of International Sales
- Attendance at international bookfairs and other trade events
- Submitting travel plans and planning and booking all travel. Approximately 4-6 weeks per year travel is envisaged
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications and experience
- MS Office skills including Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness
- Experience in a publishing environment
- An enthusiasm for books and reading
