Job Summary
Are you a registered Professional Structural Engineer (PrEng) looking to take the lead on complex structural design projects within a consulting environment This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of design delivery while providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Job Description:
- Lead and deliver structural engineering designs for reinforced concrete and structural steel structures
- Take responsibility for project design delivery ensuring quality accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet agreed deadlines
- Provide technical guidance oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists
- Liaise with clients contractors architects and other project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years post-graduate experience in structural engineering
- Strong experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel design
- Proficiency in Prokon and finite element analysis and design software
- Proven ability to independently manage and deliver multiple projects
- Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree (BEng or BSc Eng) in Civil Engineering
- Professionally registered with ECSA as a PrEng
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
