Job Summary

Position: Camp Instructor: Saints Summer Series

Reports to: Summer Camps Manager; The Director of Strategic Partnerships and Student Pathways provides overall program oversight

Position Overview:

The Saints Summer Series is seeking dynamic educators and specialists to lead week-long gender-inclusive summer camps on our beautiful campus for children ages 59 (entering Grades 1-4 in fall 2026). This is an opportunity to design and facilitate engaging meaningful and memorable experiences for students drawing on your expertise creativity and passions. Applicants should select one of the camp categories below to design a camp program with a clear lens on social impact helping students explore ways to make the world a better place.

  • Future Cities: Sustainability and Urban Architects
  • Math Explorers: Patterns Nature & Discovery
  • Mysteries and Magic: Tricks Illusions and Performance
  • Myths & Legends: Ancient Adventures of the Gods
  • Science WonderLab: Explore Experiment Imagine!
  • Startup Stars: Imagine Create Launch!
  • Young Authors Studio: Reading Writing & Imagination
  • Young Engineers through Play: Lego Bridges Towers
  • Young Voices: Media Argument & Debate


Applications will be reviewed and offers extended on a rolling basis until all camp positions are filled.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a summer camp experience that is engaging enjoyable and meaningful for students.
  • Develop curriculum activities and materials in alignment with the camp theme and student learning objectives.
  • Foster a positive safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Mentor and support the recreation leader and up to two student volunteers providing guidance and supervision throughout camp activities.
  • Collaborate with the Saints Summer Series team to refine and implement camp plans.
  • Maintain clear communication with students families and the Saints Summer Series team.
  • Assist with setup cleanup and day-to-day operations to ensure a smooth camp experience.
  • Serve as a role model promoting the values and mission of the Saints Summer Series.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching coaching or leading programs for children or youth; teacher certification is strongly preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent required.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification required by July 1 2026.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check required for all successful applicants.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to design creative and engaging learning experiences.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in working with students of varying ages and interests.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience in managing student behavior using restorative practices.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff or volunteers.
  • Comfort working in an outdoor and flexible camp environment.
  • Ability to adapt curriculum and activities for different learning styles and developmental levels.
  • Enthusiasm for collaboration and contributing to a positive team culture.


Time Commitment:

Camps run from July 631 ; instructors must commit to working a minimum of two one-week camps depending on interest and registration in their camps.

  • Series 1 is July 6-17
  • Series 2 is July 20-31.

On-site hours are 8am - 4pm for camp instructors.

Staff instructors must attend training orientation and planning days on July 2 and 3 2026.


Compensation:

Compensation ranges from $1500 - $2000/week; reflective of planning preparation and delivery responsibilities as well as experience and qualifications.
