Position Summary
The Center for Postsecondary Research ( CPR ) in the Indiana University School of Education seeks a post-doctoral scholar to join the research team for the National Survey of Student Engagement ( NSSE ). CPR is host to a team of innovative higher education researchers and assessment professionals affiliated with various national survey projects (Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement Faculty Survey of Student Engagement College University Teaching Environment Survey and Law School Survey of Student Engagement) and other projects related to student success. Researchers within CPR conduct sponsored research and work with institutional researchers assessment professionals academic leaders and college and university presidents to aid institutional improvement efforts. Duties: The post-doctoral scholar will contribute directly to the development and advancement of NSSE and associated projects by co-leading a number of initiatives focused on supporting higher education institutions use NSSE data most effectively. This will include leading specific aspects of NSSEs grant portfolio advancing scholarship related to data-use capacity building and student success in higher education as well as working collaboratively with the NSSE Institute to design and deliver campus specific support related to data use. Depending on the candidates expertise this could also include developing and securing external funding as well as launching and leading externally facing projects to support higher education leaders use of NSSE data.
