Job Purpose

The Technical Sales Consultants primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership to the sales account managers during completecycle on sales opportunities. These pre-salesactivities include butarenot limited to:

  • Developing opportunitiesworking with sales (including partners) & marketing

  • Attending internal/external meetings and provide ideas and opinions to achieve the best solution for the Customer

  • Providing technical presentationsand demos

  • Providing architecture Software Bill ofMaterialsand/or technical write-ups for proposal work

  • Work with Services team to establish Scope of work and estimates

  • Providing product or solution training to internal team and external customer.

To perform above mentioned activities this role will involve working closely with key teams within AVEVAincludingMarketing Sales Delivery Customer Support Business UnitsandR&D. This rolewill be responsibletoidentifydevelopandmaintainthebestsoftware solutionto help customers to satisfy theirbusinessrequirementsandto solve their problems inacompetitive environment. Therolerequirescontinuallearning aboutnew technology industry trends competitors information so thattheycan clearly articulate our unique value proposition toourtarget customers.

With themain focuson our suite ofMonitoring and Controlproducts Wonderware System Platform CitectInTouchWonderware Historian andOI Servers (PLC comms) Automationsystemsand reporting systems.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Creating andmaintainingcustomer presentations and demos with clear value propositions.

  • Developing andmaintainingsales opportunities captured in the CRM(Salesforce) by working closely with marketing and sales.

  • Activities including sales support marketing event support proposal support study will be captured in the CRM

  • Learning & development to upskill his core skill set and learn other solutions to expand scope isrequired.

Important Working Relationships

As part of a global organisationwith a regional focus you will be able toleveragethe knowledge of theTechnicalsales community round the world and apply it to your local region. Salesteamsare responsible forcreating opportunities with our customersand rely on your skills to supply a solution to is a distribution Channel who market and sell on our behalf to System integrators our software and as such you willbe requiredto interact with the Distributors and SIsassistingwith solutions as well as updating them on our product enhancements.

KnowledgeSkills & Experience Required

You are someone who gets excited by innovation improving operations and optimising manufacturing facilities. You are a highly driven and a confident Sales Professional who wants to work for avalues-basedorganisation whose solutions are leading edge. You are focused collaborative and passionate about the work that you addition youpossessthe following relevant skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering/IT with experience inMESsystems in the manufacturing space operations management information technology and interested in automation

  • Ability to build long term customer focused relationships is essential with soliddirectand related sales experience being highlyadvantageous

  • Understanding of Cloud/SaaSand latest technologies.

  • Sound commercial acumen enabling the TSC to propose an architecture/system optimally to meet the customers business needs

  • Ability to communicate the differentiating elements in a simple yet convincing manner

  • Technical engineering / application design or validation background and detailed understanding of relevant offer

  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations asrequired(approx45% travel)

  • Competent communicator at all levels particularly C-level

  • A good understanding of any of AVEVAs main marketsCPG MMM WWW Power O&G Infrastructure Marine

  • An ability tooperateeffectively as a member of a dynamic team within a matrixed organization often working across multiple countries and time zones.

  • Possesses excellent written and spoken English skills and Asian language skill will be premium.

  • Invests in own self-study related to industry softwareand supporting technologies
