About the Role:

This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December 2026. Resume review begins in January 2026.

As a co-op you will be embedded within our dynamic manufacturing team at the Pharma Site focusing on both Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) and Antisense Oligonucleotide (ASO) facilities. Your role will center around supporting critical projects aimed at continuous improvement and lean six sigma methodologies. As we embark on the journey of introducing new capabilities through the start-up of cutting-edge equipment and facilities your contributions will be pivotal in driving these efforts forward. You will work closely with seasoned professionals within the manufacturing team gaining invaluable insights into both upstream and downstream processes. Your efforts will not only bolster the efficiency of our operations but also enhance the overall impact of our manufacturing capabilities within the company.

What Youll Do:

  • Collaborate daily with the manufacturing team to gain a comprehensive understanding of upstream and downstream processes.
  • Assist in the synthesis of ASOs and subsequent downstream purification.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance facility process and scheduling efficiencies.
  • Implement lean six sigma initiatives aimed at optimizing organizational workflows.
  • Support the startup of new equipment and facilities ensuring seamless integration into existing operations.
  • Develop and execute projects related to the implementation of new capabilities.
  • Engage in troubleshooting to address operational challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Make impactful contributions that drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Deliver comprehensive end-to-end process descriptions for ASO synthesis and purification.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate on cross-functional tasks.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for process enhancements.

Who You Are:

  • Strong understanding of lean six sigma principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

To participate in the Biogen Internship or Co-op Program students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited community college college university or skills program/apprenticeship.

Education Requirements

Science or Eng related preferred. Someonein their Sophomore year of their four-year degree or higher for degree level.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $24.00-$27.00


The actual hourly wage offered will consider the candidates current academic level and degree candidacy inclusive of Associate Bachelors Masters JD MD PhD and MBA programs. It will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements specific to the job location.
