Business Development Representative

Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative to join a rapidly growing team. As a key player in the organization you will be responsible for expanding the presence by building and maintaining strong relationships with agents educating them on the product offerings and driving new business opportunities. This is a remote position with extensive travel required (approximately 85% of the time).

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $75000 - $90000 annually
  • Bonus Eligibility: Performance-based bonuses
  • Benefits:

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with agents in the Texas market.
  • Educate agents on P&C product offerings including General Liability Excess Inland Marine and Commercial Auto.
  • Identify and drive new business opportunities targeting accounts ranging from $500 to $50000.
  • Conduct regular visits to agent sites to provide support address concerns and ensure satisfaction with services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve service delivery and address client needs.
  • Represent the company in a professional and personable manner promoting brand and values.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses/Certifications: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development or territory sales preferably with a wholesaler or carrier.
  • Skills:
    • Outgoing and personable demeanor
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Punctual and professional
    • Sales and goal-oriented mindset
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with relevant software tools is a plus.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 85% of the time).
