Schedule: Monday Friday 7:45 AM 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20 $24 per hour

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher Assistant (SPED TA) to support students with diverse learning needs in an elementary school setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher and support staff to help students achieve academic success develop social skills and maintain positive behavioral growth.

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one and small group instructional support
Support students with academic social emotional and behavioral needs
Assist with classroom management and foster a positive learning environment
Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources
Collaborate with teachers therapists and support staff to monitor and support student progress
Participate in staff meetings trainings and professional development as required

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required (Associates degree or higher preferred)
Experience working with children preferably in a special education or inclusive classroom setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain patient flexible and supportive in a dynamic classroom environment
