We collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to communicate and train on the science behind our medicines support a strong understanding of disease areas and treatment pathways and identify remaining unmet medical needs. Through these activities we enable impactful collaborations and help further differentiate our oncology portfolio for the benefit of patients.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our company in the Medical Affairs team as a Medical Advisor Oncology contributing to the definition and execution of our medical strategy in this role you will report to the Medical Director Oncology and work in close partnership with a multidisciplinary team of Medical Advisors MSL Managers and MSLs.

As a Medical Advisor Oncology you will act as the medical expert and responsible person for biomarkers within your area. You will leverage your medical knowledge and customer insights to develop and implement the Country Oncology Medical Affairs Plan while engaging in nonpromotional peertopeer scientific communication. Your focus will be on education scientific exchange data generation and implementation of medical programs that deliver balanced highquality information to external stakeholders scientific leaders key decision makers and the broader medical community with the patient as the ultimate beneficiary.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following key activities:

  • Work in close collaboration with the market access policy regulatory and marketing counterparts as well as Oncology Medical Advisors in Bulgaria and Serbia and the Regional Oncology Medical Team to ensure that the patients who need oncology medicines now and in the future have access to them.
  • Develop and execute Country Oncology Medical Affairs Plan (CMAP) aligning with regional/global Oncology V&I goals and strategies. Identify key specific activities including relevant strategies related to: Oncology Indication priorities standard of care healthcare environment reimbursement timelines.
  • Prioritize and define development areas to meet key scientific- and medical needs and clinical care gaps.
  • Identify scientific leaders and key decision makers and develop engagement plans.
  • Conduct sustained dialogue with scientific community focusing on key science topics and the credible exchange of unbiased scientific information and insights collection.
  • Plan and execute Group Input Meetings as needed.
  • Assess education and data gaps in the country and the need for medical education initiatives local data generation executing RWE studies and supporting Investigator Initiated Study proposals when relevant.
  • Work in close collaboration with the cross functional teams to share key scientific insights and provide medical input/expertise where needed for example in Market Access Dossiers Patient Access Programs locally planned educational meetings/symposia and congresses.
  • Provide relevant scientific data for formulary and clinical guideline development.
  • Ensure strategic alignment between Medical activities and resource allocation in the countries.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise in the Oncology therapy area and be recognized internally and externally as the scientific expert.
  • Provide balanced and updated education to internal and external partners.

Your Profile

Qualification & Experience:

Candidates must hold an MD PharmD or PhD in Life Sciences and experience in Oncology and Medical Affairs is strongly preferred while previous pharma/biotech experience will be considered a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong scientific and clinical knowledge in oncology is expected as an asset.
  • Understanding of drug development oncology therapies and local clinical practice (preferred proficient level).
  • High ethics and integrity; strong compliance mindset.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with HCPs scientific leaders and authorities.
  • Strong strategic thinking prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership behaviours within delivering value for customers including patients by understanding and meeting their needs; act with candour and courage; make rapid disciplined decisions
  • Strong stewardship skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Excellent understanding of core systems tools and metrics
  • English on proficiency level
  • Serbian language proficiency is a plus
