About the Job:

As aSr.Project Managerworking on theActivationteamyou will project manage the design and activation of world class supply chain projects thatwill result in an enhanced Guest experience by increasing the speed and accuracy of processing of goods through the internal supply chain.Your responsibilitiesvary across a range of critical project implementation needs.You willbe responsible forchartering new projects and building relationships and routines withkey stakeholders. You will create a project budget request capitalfundsandmaintainthebudgetthrough the life of the project.You willsupportensuringcorrectinstallation andsetupof MHEandcontrolsby material handling vendors.Managing testing activities andcoordination across teams to sequence activities and prioritize critical work efforts.Theinitialassignment will be based on careful consideration of the candidatespreviousexperience along with the candidates own personal and professional career aspirations.This position will report to theSr. Managerof Activation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Charter new projectsanddevelop a budget to bemaintainedthrough the project life cycle
• Work with cross organizational teams to develop project plans based on engineeringprojectlifecyclephases
• Provideprojectlevelinputs tocross functionalteams and program management
• Collaborate effectively across all internal and external stakeholders including vendors internal engineering team operations & facility teams
• Execute usingrepeatable internal tools & templates toassistwith scheduling budgeting tracking & managing projects
• Manage vendoractivationactivitiesincludingimplementationschedules design reviews change requests and contingency spendingapprovals
• With support from the Lead Project Manager coordinate with vendors constructionpartnersand site level experts to ensureaccurateand on time delivery of material handling systems.
• Maintain installation and system acceptance testing specifications & standards
• Test and accept all in-scope project related deliverables including supply chain process automation and various material handling systems included storage structures
• Maintain manage andclose-outprojectpunch listsina timelyand cost-effective improvement activitiesandsolicitfeedback onprojectactivationperformance
• Executehand offstrategies to Field Operationsteamsat the achievement of project deliverables.

About you:

• Bachelors degree in supply chain or project managementdisciplineor equivalent experience
• 3or more years of combined experience in material handling automation manufacturing supply chain and/or distribution andlogisticsindustries
• Proven ability to use data to measure and improve operational outcomes
• Strong foundationof mathematical/analytical principles
• Experience with project management strategiesrequiredfor complex and dynamic projects withvery shortlead times.
• Candidatemust be capableto workwithminimal supervisionor direction.
• Ability toproblem solve create project plans and deliver results
• Desire to learn new capabilities and enable others to do the same
• Willing to take risks challenge the status quo and work under ambiguous circumstances
• Ability to learn& applyimplementing solutions using basic project management principles.
• Natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels.
• Proficiencywith standard project planning software applications
• Ability to travel at short notice- up to 40% (varies by project phase)

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences

• Experience with facility layouts & construction
• Experience with distribution and/orlogisticsprocess flows & operations
• Experience with lean six sigma & other continuous improvement concepts & methodologies
• Project management professional PMP training

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually depending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
