SIXGEN is looking for a Tech Writer with a diverse set of skills and technical knowledge with the ability to respond and adapt to unique requirements. Our ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of IT systems and can independently create reports describing complex system networking/architecture network traffic analysis and device image analysis. Additionally this candidate will interact regularly with leadership so strong communication skills are essential. This role will support documentation generation for a highly skilled team of software developers and analysts. Ideally the candidate has a innate strong interest in technology and stays up to date on latest technology trends and capabilities.

Required Skills: Candidates are expected to have technical knowledge/skills in the following areas and are able to generate reports documents and deliverables associated with these technical areas:

Familiarity with computer network / IT systems and how they function cohesively
Understanding of general operating system functionality and directory structures of Linux Windows and MacOS
Can execute basic CLI commands within a Linux environment (Move copy navigate directories search launch programs etc.)
Basic knowledge of virtualization platforms Kubernetes and containerization and how they function/operate.
Basic knowledge of network management and configuration including VLAN VPN SSH tunneling firewalls Linux-based routing.
Scripting and IT automation including bash python and/or PowerShell is not a hard requirement but good to have.
