Our client seeking to hirea Production Operator for their chemical manufacturing site in Glendale CA. As a flexible and motivated team member you will operate plant equipment and chemical processes safely and efficiently to production output.
You will be responsible but not limited to the following:
- Safely handle chemicals and chemical processing equipment (vessels mixers reactors dischargers) for the manufacture of epoxy and polyurethane type formulations for aerospace electronics tooling etc.
- Processes incorporate heating cooling vacuum pressure nitrogen purging and exothermic reactions.
- Good housekeeping is essential along with motivation for high quality.
- Use of a forklift and physical handling of drums is common.
- The role also includes the filling of containers and cleaning of equipment and tools.
- The individual should be able to work independently as well as part of a team following instructions and completing tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Lead Operator.
- Participate in Environmental Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent such as GED
- 3 or more years of related experience in a manufacturing facility preferably a chemical formulation plant
- Must be authorized to work in the US and be able to pass a background check and a drug test
- Must be willing and able to work any of the three shifts (1st 2nd or 3rd) based on business needs
1st Shift Hours - 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
2nd Shift Hours from 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
3rd Shift Hours from 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
Pay Rate:$30 per hour
