POSITION: Preschool General Education Teacher Rossford Elementary School

Rossford Schools is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Preschool General Education Teacher for the school year. The successful candidate will provide a high-quality early learning experience that supports childrens academic social-emotional and developmental growth. This position includes responsibility for meeting preschool program requirements including Step Up To Quality expectations and applicable preschool licensing requirements.

Salary: Competitive Wages & Fringe Benefits beginning at $48992

Position Overview
The Preschool General Education Teacher serves as the lead teacher in a preschool general education classroom. The teacher plans and delivers developmentally appropriate instruction aligned to early learning standards creates a safe and engaging learning environment uses assessment to monitor progress and collaborates with families and the preschool team to support each childs growth. The teacher also supports compliance with required preschool licensing and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Licensure in Early Childhood through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce consistent with Ohio preschool teacher qualification requirements

  • Bachelors degree preferred; candidates with other qualifying credentials are encouraged to apply in accordance with Ohio preschool licensure and qualification pathways

  • Knowledge of Ohio preschool licensing rules Early Learning and Development Standards and Step Up to Quality requirements

  • Experience providing an engaging high-quality learning experience for preschool children

  • Experience administering early childhood assessments including the Child Outcomes Summary or comparable tools

  • Ability to collaborate with the preschool educational team including the Director of Student Services preschool leadership intervention specialists related service providers paraprofessionals families and community stakeholders

  • Compliance with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services requirements including required documentation and records

  • Completion of required professional development and training including orientation training First Aid and CPR certification and identifying child abuse and neglect

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Commitment to supporting the district vision of preparing inspiring and empowering all students to achieve success

Responsibilities
Lead Teacher Role

  • Serve as the lead teacher in the preschool general education classroom

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that support each childs academic and developmental growth

  • Provide a safe welcoming and engaging learning environment

  • Use assessment data to monitor student progress and collaborate with teachers therapists administrators families and specialists to analyze data adjust strategies and support individual growth

Program Compliance and Quality Standards

  • Collaborate with preschool leadership and administration to ensure compliance with licensing and Step Up to Quality standards

  • Submit required documentation through the Ohio Child Licensing and Quality System (OCLQS) as applicable

  • Mitigate potential issues of non-compliance and communicate concerns to administration in a timely manner

Continuous Improvement and Professional Responsibilities

  • Participate in professional learning aligned to early childhood best practices and district initiatives

  • Support the development of paraprofessionals and other preschool staff

  • Serve as a role model for students in responsible citizenship and appropriate social behaviors

  • Fulfill responsibilities as outlined in applicable job description(s) including other duties as assigned by the Principal Director of Student Services or Superintendent Job Description - Teacher
